The Nutcrackers are most likely to be found in the stands of Swiss Stone Pine such as the ones just beyond this junction. Look for the lollipop-shaped trees.
All the sites in this section are treated, in detail and with precise maps and directions, in my book ‘Finding Birds in South Finland’
If you have any information which you feel would help to update the book, please email me at dave@easybirder.co.uk and I’ll add your observations to these pages

This is the best-known site in Finland for Nutcracker. In several visits here I’ve also had Ural Owl, Hazel Grouse, Greenish Warbler, Blyth’s Reed Warbler and Red-breasted Flycatcher.
In 2010 I had Blyth’s Reed Warbler in the young conifers (foreground) and greenish Warbler and Red-breasted Flycatcher in the mature birches (background)
