This track is said to be especially good for raptors in winter, including Aplomado Falcon.
All the sites in this section are treated, in detail and with precise maps and directions, in my book ‘Finding Birds in South Texas’
If you have any information which you feel would help to update the book, please email me at dave@easybirder.co.uk and I’ll add your observations to these pages

Old Port Isabel Road
On our visit, the wet conditions made the track impassable so we tried for Aplomado Falcon at this site instead. Look for this blue building by the main road and park at the beginning of a track opposite.
From there you get views of lots of wires and pylons, any of which could have Aplomado’s Falcon, or other raptors such as Peregrine and Osprey
