A vast nature reserve - you can drive for miles and barely scratch the surface. Especially good in winter for wildfowl and waders.

Laguna Atascosa
This is the observation platform at Stover Point, overlooking the Laguna Madre the shores of which are teeming with waders
As usual there’s a well-appointed visitor center complete with feeders and water features
Birds are attracted to this water feature right next to the entrance to the center
