All the sites in this section are treated, in detail and with precise maps and directions, in my book ‘Finding Birds in Andalucia’
If you have any information which you feel would help to update the book, please email me at dave@easybirder.co.uk and I’ll add your observations to these pages

Cabo de Gata
including Rambla Morales
The Cabo de Gata headland is good for passing seabirds and breeding Shag (of the Mediterranean race)
Trumpeter Finch have been seen around the car park - though not by me. Apparently they are easier to see in the winter months
The observation point at the north-western end of the Cabo de Gata saltpans
The seaward end of the Rambla Morales lagoon. Look here for gulls, waders and terns
Take the track that leads inland and skirts the lagoon
The far end of the lagoon is likely to be best for wildfowl
