Finding Birds in Bulgaria book
Finding Birds in Bulgaria book
Now with 2010 supplement - ‘Bulgaria in Winter’
This book is now more complete than ever, thanks to the addition of a 5-page supplement, ‘Bulgaria in Winter’, based on a visit made in February 2010
Dave Gosney writes:
‘’I went to Bulgaria in February to look for Red-breasted Geese but we also enjoyed other special birds such as Great Black-headed Gull, White-headed Duck, Pygmy Cormorant, Rough-legged Buzzard, Steppe Buzzard, Long-legged Buzzard, Sombre Tit, Calandra Lark, Grey-headed Woodpecker and Middle Spotted Woodpecker. The extra 5-page supplement includes details with maps of where all these birds were found. The new maps, and sites for woodpeckers, will be of benefit to those planning a spring or summer trip too.”
The text and maps of the original book have remained unaltered, so this is not a complete update. Hence the price of this book is still £6 plus postage, like all others in the original series.
The sites covered in this supplement include:
Lake Durankulak
Cape Kaliakra
Pomorie Saltpans
Lake Atanasovo
Lake Burgas
Lake Mandra
plus ‘new’ sites at Goritsa, Poroy, Alepu and Arkutino.
Did you know that I’ve also added a supplement and many new maps to Finding Birds in Egypt?
